It is almost there, the second Lustrum of TeMa. You, as a member of TeMa, may not miss this amazing week full of activities. That is the reason why the Media Committee has asked the Lustrum Committee a couple of questions to convince you to sign up for the Lustrum. Read below why YOU must be present at Lustrum as a member, how you can survive this week and which experiences the Lustrum Committee have with organizing this week. .
As a member, you can expect an amazing week with a nicely varied programme. We provide activities that cover the study-related, career-related, and social aspects of our association, so the programme offers something for everybody. From a LinkedIn Workshop till a Pub Quiz or Pub Lecture, and from a Hitchhiking game till Water Skiing or Bubble Football. Besides, there will be a bunch of great party’s like the Tiroler Fest as opening and the Gala as ending party. So it will not depend on the programme, according to us!
All this cannot be complete without our beloved members! We obviously hope to celebrate this Lustrum with as many members as possible, because the more people, the bigger the joy! So do not hesitate to apply for our activities, you will not regret it!
Since we are offering you a passe partout for a tremendously sharp price, it is attractive to attend as many activities as possible. We understand this is tough to take both physically and mentally, but we have the perfect solution for that! Especially for the Lustrum, we assembled a recipe as survival kit for this epic yet demanding week:
- Do not sleep too long, you become slow and you go backwards quickly. So let the engine run again as quickly as possible because then you will be on top again soon, move that mountain!
- Drink enough water in between. If you do not like water, you may upgrade this to the orange lustrum lemonade.
- Eat lots of fruit, especially oranges and blueberries. Tangerines and blue grapes seem to do well also.
- Come dressed to the opening party! This way you get the ultimate peak performance.
- For the real guys among us: start the day with a lukewarm repair Schultie! Then the hard part is over and it does not hurt that much anymore.
- For those who feel addressed now: A repair ICE also works as a miracle sometimes.
- Finally, enjoy it as if it were your last day.
You will be totally fine during the Lustrum with this package and it surely is a week to look forward to. As a committee we also look forward to the entire Lustrum, although we find it difficult to name a specific activity that we are looking forward to the most. Above all, we expect a whole mountain range of pleasure with everyone and that is also the point we are looking forward to the most.
The organization of the Lustrum had its tough times, such as searching for the ‘stinky bloody hut‘ for the active members activity. The realization of the weekend has had a lot of turmoil anyway, even so that the necessary meetings had to last well into the night sometimes (a 5-hour meeting was no exception). Taking 45 minutes to process the to-do list did not contribute to this either. Fortunately, Rebekka was not bothered by her neck and Luuk never had to work the next morning at 6 o‘clock (the reality was the opposite).
Besides these moments, the organization have mainly resulted in many highlights, to start with our Committee weekend to Slagharen. The first got more hideous every minute, so everyone was not that fit the next morning. So the great idea was to dive into the Ponypark to enjoy some loopings. In addition, after quite some beers, Sim‘s version of ‘All I want for Christmas‘ in the karaoke bar can also be labeled as a highlight. Or Tessa, who throws a complete sheet of Jägermeister shots over herself after a successful transfer dinner with the previous Lustrum Committee. And not to mention the backbone of Feiko, which disappeared again and again like snow in the sun. He does not seem to have found it to this day. There are plenty of examples, and we want to tell you all about it with love during the Lustrum!
