Your role at AbbVie 
We have two types of Supply Chain Planners: for the short-term planning and for the Long-term planning. In both roles you will be responsible for monitoring inventories and take action if and where appropriate based on available inventory, lead times and size of orders. The long-term planners are also responsible for anticipating on future opportunities and risks, related to the more complex processes of long-term planning. 

In addition, we also have Value Added Service (VAS) Planners who are responsible for coordination of VAS activities between Planning, central and regional distribution centers (DC), Global Distribution and Logistics, Quality Assurance (QA), Packaging Engineering and Affiliates.

In all these roles, your work area covers all parts of the world. 

All roles are based at AbbVie’s office in Zwolle (hybrid working model, 60% onsite), 

VAS Planner

In this role, you will work closely with QA and the DCs to plan and coordinate VAS activities. The objective is to meet market demand on a routine bases as well as in exceptional cases. Therefore, the Added Service Planner needs to ensure set up activities have been completed by DCs and Supply Chain stakeholders, as well as execution is aligned to plan and processes are continuously improved. By continuously raising the bar the VASC ensures success for AbbVie and patients. To achieve this, the VASC builds strong relationships with Distribution Centers, Affiliates, and internal supply chain partners.

Your goal is to balance supply and demand, ensuring the production and shipping schedules are aligned, optimize inventory, manage lead times and size of orders, transportation efficiency, and continuously improve supply chain processes.

  • Bachelor level required (Master level preferred) preferably in Operations, Supply Chain or Business Management;

  • Relevant experience gained via internships or work

  • SAP experience is an advantage
